For trained AAs

iKAAN (pronounced "I can") is the Internet Knowledgebase for the AA Network.

It brings together legislation, case law, policy and best practice on the treatment of children and mentally vulnerable adults who are detained or questioned by police.

It is aimed at trained appropriate adults, though others may find it of value. iKAAN is accessible on desktop, tablet and mobile phone.

How do I get a login?

  • Appropriate adults
    • You can get free access to iKAAN if your scheme is a NAAN member.
    • Ask your scheme co-ordinator for your Scheme Access Code (SAC).
    • When registering, you will need enter your code and select "iKAAN User" under "User Group". 
    • Click here to create an account.
  • Scheme co-ordinators
    • If your scheme is a NAAN member, login using the same details that you use for the rest of this website
  • Non-members
    • iKAAN is only available to NAAN members
    • If you are not part of a NAAN member scheme, you can apply for membership
